While in business as Zerr &/or Z-Art Ice Sculpting, etc., in Wasilla, Alaska Chef Richard became the First Ice Carver Certified by the National Ice Carvers Association (NICA), with many associated awards and accolades earned  his bio and recipes are included in The International Whos Who (WW) of Chefs 2004-05 and is named in WW in Colorado and WW in the West.

Our sculptor/chef has been interested in sun power since playing with a magnifying glass and making a sundial wristwatch as a child. Since then he has used sun power for cooking, smoking, cooling, and carving techniques with his projects, displays, and award winning edible art.

Colorado chef Richard G. Zerr has had his custom edible art served to President George Bush, Jr., Speaker Newt Gingrich, the Dalai Lama, all fifty state governors, assorted  luminaries, representatives and some of the nicest and most gracious folks on the planet.

Z*Art offers custom holiday trays, chocolate art, sugar art, fruit carving, vegetable carving, dairy art, edible houses, gingerbread cathedral, working geared bread clock, culinary art, paper mache statuary, and, of course, ice sculptures.
